Why become a Purposeful Teams™ facilitator?
My name is Renate Landman. I’m a life coach, team coach and workshop facilitator in Johannesburg, South Africa. Seeking to expand my range of offerings to my clients, I went on a WorldsView Facilitator Accreditation (WFA) programme in February 2009 and became a Purposeful Teams™ facilitator. I liked what I saw on the training, but it was only eight months later, when I started facilitating this intervention, that I began to realise the true transformational impact of this offering. I have since delivered this workshop many times, to a diverse range of clients with a variety of mandates. The results have been so astonishingly powerful, that Purposeful Teams has become one of the main focuses of my business. I have also gone on to become a Master Facilitator (a trainer of other facilitators) of this intervention, as I am inspired to share what is available to facilitators and clients alike through the power of this magical process! Many people ask me “what’s in it for them” to become a PT facilitator. I’ve answered this question so many times that I’ve put together my list of “Top Seven Reasons To Become A Purposeful Teams™ Facilitator”, which I humbly offer here:

 1     Make a real difference

If, like me, you work in the field of human potential and are inspired to make a real difference to the people whose lives you touch, then Purposeful Teams™ offers you a skillful process that will more than satisfy this requirement for you. It is of the utmost importance to me that I offer true value and real transformation when I stand up in front of a group. Purposeful Teams is masterfully crafted, using cutting-edge techniques put together seamlessly to create an experience that really delivers on its promises. Team members come in at the beginning of day one, often skeptical, resisting, unsure and sometimes even defiant. By the end of the first day, they have had a space to safely and constructively face their reality, speak their truth, break down their barriers and gain rich and deep insights into their team’s interpersonal dysfunctions and strengths. By the end of day two, they’ve had some fun, visioned, strategised, planned, and bonded with their team mates in a way they never thought possible. They truly believe in their ability as a team to move forward powerfully and cohesively towards their goals. They are moved and have a renewed appreciation for each other and for the strength and possibility that being part of the team offers. As a facilitator, you have an opportunity to spend two more half-day sessions with them to cement their learning and pave the way for sustainability. I sell this intervention to my own clients with confidence. It works every time. The feedback is amazing and the effects long-lasting.

 2     Make money

With Purposeful Teams™, you facilitate for a total of 24 to 28 hours (I usually add an additional 4 hours after the first two days, making it a two-and-a-half day process). The intervention typically runs for two consecutive days (8 hours each day) and then two four-hour sessions thereafter, each usually about a month apart. If you apply your hourly group facilitation rate to that, you ensure that you get the top dollar you deserve! Plus, if you sell it yourself, you earn commission on the sale, making this even more lucrative for you.

3     Get more clients

You may sell Purposeful Teams™ to your own clients or be given facilitation opportunities by one of the WorldsView Global Partners (most of the opportunities I’ve had have been given to me). This gives the team an ideal opportunity to experience your facilitation skills, as well as your coaching skills. I have been offered opportunities to facilitate other sessions for clients as a result of doing Purposeful Teams™ with them. There have also been many times that delegates in the teams have requested coaching from me afterwards. So Purposeful Teams is a great way to get more clients!

4     Expand your opportunities

With the addition of Purposeful Teams™ to my bouquet of offerings, I have been able to find many opportunities with new client queries as well as with my existing clients. Purposeful Teams™ offers benefit to ANY team and, once I experienced its unique power, my conviction in the process has made it really easy to offer as a solution (“sell”) to my clients’ team pain.

5     Grow yourself

The more I work with teams, the more I’m able to hone and develop my skills in team coaching and facilitation. Having so many opportunities to work with a variety of teams, with such a great team development tool, has given me greater insight into organisational issues and how to work with them at a deep level. I’m getting paid to learn!

6     Fun and fulfilment

Purposeful Teams is fun, alive and engaging for both me, as a facilitator, AND the teams. I go away to beautiful, out-of-town venues to do this work with them. The team bonds and the energy is high. Doing this work is deeply fulfilling, enriching and I am authentically moved by the transformation I witness after each intervention.

7     A nurturing network (be part of the family!)

The community formed by WorldsView Consulting, its Global Partners and its facilitators is like a big, warm, energetic and inspiring family! There are networking events (cafés), monthly global facilitator conference calls, an annual conference and many more opportunities to meet and network with like-minded people. We share our stories and concerns and I have been blessed to receive so many work opportunities from this amazing resource.I am happy to have a chat with anyone who is interested in pursuing this and would like to discuss this further.
